In the circle
In the circle we are equal
There is no one in front of you
And there's nobody behind you
No one is above you
No one is below you
The circle is sacred
Because it is designed to create unity
Lakota wisdom
Native Americans are imbued with the understanding that everything we do
affects the rest of the world. Everything is connected, and everything
is in balance—or should be. This connection exists not only between people, but also with other living beings, plants and animals, and even mountains and rivers, water and soil.
The circle symbolizes wholeness and connectedness, but can also be experienced as an embrace or limitation.
By experimenting with this, images orepisodes emerge that, however different, will always be reunited nto a comprehensive whole.
